Frequently asked questions
Who is Ciello best for: cloud-sofa lounging or upright sitting?
Ciello is Cozey’s soft, cloud-like modular sofa for people who enjoy curling up, reclining and stretching out. Its loose cushions combine synthetic fibre with a supportive D35 high-density foam core. Choose Original backs for the classic relaxed silhouette or High Angled backs for more height and a more reclined support angle. Ciello is a better match for sink-in lounging than for someone who wants a very firm, shallow seat; Regular and XL options fit different bodies and rooms.
Why does Ciello feel cloud-like, and how often should its cushions be fluffed?
Ciello combines soft, loose synthetic fibre with a D35 high-density foam core, giving the cushion a plush surface and an underlying supportive structure. The fibre naturally shifts during lounging, so fluffing the cushions weekly or every two weeks and rotating them where practical helps restore their shape. Cozey also added approximately 2 in (5 cm) of foam at the base edges in 2026 to soften the transition under the seat cushions. If you prefer fixed foam with little fluffing, consider Atmosphere.
Is Ciello practical for pets and children if the sofa is very soft?
Yes, with appropriate fabric care. Ciello’s upholstered covers are removable and machine-washable, including frame components, which can help after spills or pet-related messes. Its loose cloud cushions do still need regular fluffing, and no fabric is completely claw- or stain-proof. For a home with pets, prioritize a fabric with a tighter surface that is easier to clean and less likely to catch claws; for frequent spills, compare water- and stain-repellent options available for Ciello. Check current fabric availability and care labels before ordering.
Ciello vs Atmosphere: which sofa is softer and which needs less cushion maintenance?
Choose Ciello if your main priority is a soft, sink-in cloud sofa with loose cushions that you can fluff and rearrange. Choose Atmosphere if you prefer medium-firm, layered-foam seating that holds a more structured shape with less frequent fluffing. Atmosphere also offers purpose-built storage and sleeper seat options, while Ciello provides a dedicated chaise and storage ottoman. Ciello sits higher in the listed configurations (about 54 cm versus Atmosphere’s 46.5 cm), but compare seat depth and dimensions for your chosen arm and back styles.
Ciello vs Gaia: what changes besides the design?
Both Ciello and Gaia use soft synthetic-fibre cushioning around supportive D35 foam and offer fully removable, washable upholstery plus storage ottomans. Ciello emphasizes relaxed, cloud-like lounging and offers Original and High Angled back styles plus a dedicated chaise. Gaia has slimmer arms and backs, French-seam detailing and a backrest about 6 in taller than Ciello Original. Their seat cushion and base construction are similar, so the bigger choice is the back support, proportions, styling and how each configuration fits your room.
How long can Ciello cushions last, and can I replace covers or a module?
Ciello’s structural frame is engineered for long-term use, while its loose fibre cushions require regular fluffing to retain their appearance. The D35 foam core provides support beneath the softer filling, but how cushions feel and age depends on use and care. Compatible covers and modules can be ordered separately, with Customer Happiness able to explore made-to-order options when an item is no longer routinely stocked. Cozey’s five-year limited warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects, not a guaranteed cushion lifespan.
Ciello Regular vs XL vs High Angled: which dimensions and backrest change?
On Ciello, Regular and XL refer to seat proportions; Original and High Angled refer to compatible back-and-arm styles. The listed Regular seat is about 79 cm wide and 55 cm deep; XL is about 86 cm wide and 67 cm deep. High Angled creates a taller, more reclined backrest for a different lounging position; it does not simply make the seat wider. Customers who prefer sitting more upright should compare usable seat depth and back support, then confirm their exact configuration in the configurator.
How wide is a Ciello 2-, 3- or 4-seater, and what fits a condo?
In the listed Regular configuration with arms, Ciello measures about 190 cm (74.75 in) as a 2-seater, 269 cm (106 in) as a 3-seater and 348 cm (137 in) as a 4-seater. An XL 3-seater with Original arms is about 290 cm (114 in) wide. Arm style and ottoman or chaise additions change the complete footprint. For condos, measure the total layout plus walking clearance rather than relying only on the number of seats; an armless arrangement may save space.
Can Ciello grow from a straight sofa into a chaise or sectional later?
Yes. Ciello’s separate seats, corners, arms, dedicated chaise modules and ottomans allow compatible configurations to be expanded or rearranged. You can begin with a straight sofa, add a corner for an L-sectional, or add a chaise for permanent lounging space. The storage ottoman is a different component: it provides movable lounging and hidden storage. Future modules must match the sofa generation and connection system; older upholstery and foam may differ slightly in colour or feel from new parts.
Does the Ciello ottoman have storage, and how is it different from the chaise?
Yes. Ciello offers a Storage Ottoman, with concealed room for throws, pillows and other living-room items. It can move in front of different seats as a footrest or lounging extension. Ciello’s dedicated chaise is an integrated long seating module intended for a more permanent lounging position; it does not serve the same storage function. Choose the ottoman when hidden storage and flexibility matter, or the chaise when you want a fixed lounging area. Ordinary Ciello seat modules are not storage seats.
Can I move a Ciello left-chaise sectional to the right side?
Ciello’s modular chaise can be repositioned to the other side in compatible layouts, unlike many fixed-frame sectionals. Left and right in the configurator are described from the viewpoint of someone facing the sofa, not sitting on it. A left-chaise layout therefore has the chaise on your left when viewed from the front. Check whether your arm modules and connectors suit the new layout before moving it; choose the side that leaves entryways and walkways clear.

AI Summary
Multiple Ciello reviews highlight intuitive assembly and washable covers, and users value pet‑friendly fabrics. The Ciello Collection brings comfortable, modular seating with deep, cushioned support and a non-structured look. A few note differences from site images in shade and depth, and a requirement for constant cushion fluffing to keep its comfort and appearance.
