Frequently asked questions
Is Atmosphere a soft or firm modular sofa?
Atmosphere offers medium-firm seating, balancing comfort and support for everyday living. Its layered D35 foam cushions provide a more structured experience than the loose, cloud-like cushions of Ciello and Gaia. They're designed to maintain their shape without regular fluffing, making Atmosphere an excellent choice for comfortable, supportive, low-maintenance seating.
How deep is Atmosphere's seating?
Atmosphere is designed for deep, relaxed seating. Its square-back configuration offers approximately 27.6 inches of usable seat depth, while the rounded-back option gives you even more room to lounge. Its generous proportions are ideal for curling up, sitting cross-legged, or stretching out while enjoying the support of medium-firm cushions.
What's the difference between Atmosphere's square and rounded backrests?
Both offer Atmosphere's signature supportive comfort, but the rounded backrest adds approximately 2 inches of usable seat depth compared with the square version. The rounded-back module is also approximately 1.8 inches taller, creating a softer silhouette and a more relaxed lounging experience. Choose Square for a clean, structured look or Round for extra lounging depth and a softer design.
What's the difference between Atmosphere's square and rounded armrests?
Atmosphere's rounded arms are approximately 2 inches slimmer per side and 1.75 inches taller than its regular square arms. That creates a softer appearance while helping reduce the sofa's overall width. In a comparable two-seater configuration, choosing rounded arms instead of square arms can save approximately 4 inches of overall width—an especially useful detail for smaller living rooms.
Is Atmosphere comfortable for sitting upright and lounging?
Absolutely! Atmosphere's medium-firm cushions provide dependable support for everyday sitting, while its generous seating depth creates plenty of room to relax. Choose square backs for a slightly more upright position or rounded backs for extra lounging depth. It's a versatile design that makes everything from casual conversations to movie nights feel comfortable.
What's the difference between Atmosphere Regular, Storage, and Sleeper seats?
Atmosphere lets you choose the function of your modular sofa. Regular seats offer comfortable everyday seating, Storage seats provide approximately 79 litres of hidden storage each, and Sleeper seats extend into a convenient sleeping surface. Combine compatible modules to create a sofa that makes the most of your living space.
Can the Atmosphere modular sofa turn into a sofa bed?
Yes! Atmosphere Sleeper modules transform your everyday sofa into a sleeping space for overnight guests. A typical three-seat sleeper configuration creates a surface approximately 225 cm long and 150 cm wide. Individual sleeper modules can also open independently, giving you extra room to lounge without converting the entire sofa. The sleeping dimensions depend on your chosen configuration.
Is Atmosphere a modular sofa with machine-washable covers?
Absolutely! Atmosphere features removable, machine-washable upholstery across its compatible seats, arms, backrests, and upholstered base components. This makes everyday cleaning simpler, while compatible replacement covers let you refresh your sofa's look. It's a wonderful combination of modern design, comfort, and practicality.
Should I choose Atmosphere or Ciello for comfort?
Choose Atmosphere if you prefer medium-firm, structured cushions that maintain their shape and generous room to lounge. Choose Ciello if you love very soft, cloud-like seating that invites you to sink in. Atmosphere also offers built-in Storage and Sleeper modules, while Ciello provides a dedicated chaise and storage ottoman.
